Sprint 41 Release Notes 10-21-19

This document describes enhancements and corrections for School LINQ.

 

System

Help Icon

  • When users click on the updated Help Icon, the Help Center will open with links to Online Help Documents, Remote Support, and Release Notes.

Navigation Bar

  • In all modules of School LINQ, the Navigation Bar on the left-hand side of the page now has the ability to slide in and out.
    • Users can pin the Navigation Bar so that it is always open, or un-pin so that it is closed.
    • If the Navigation Bar is un-pinned, users can click the hamburger icon to open the Navigation Bar.

Fund Management

Manage Accounts

Accounts

  • NEW! An Account Status drop-down list has been added so users only see Active accounts by default.
    • Users can select to view All, Active or Inactive accounts.
    • State deactivated records will be flagged.

Reports: Budget Analysis

  • Outstanding POs will display on the Budget Analysis Report regardless of whether or not the associated account has any other transaction history for the same year/period.
  • Budget Analysis Report will now use PO Order Date instead of Delivery Date when generating the report.

Accounts: General Tab

  • The Outstanding POs report located at the bottom of the General Tab now uses the Order Date instead of the Delivery Date when generating the report.
    • The report shows only POs with Order Dates that are in the selected Fiscal Year.

Cash Management

Reports: Failed Check Print Log

  • NEW! The ability to filter the Failed Check Print Log report by Bank has been added.

  • NEW! A Bank field has been added to the report.

Payroll

Administration

Job Setup: Details Tab

  • NEW! A State Reporting check box has been added for Alabama Charters.
    • If the Include in LEAPS Report check box is checked, once the user saves the record, a message will display asking if the option should apply to all employees with that job.
    • If the Include in LEAPS Report check box is unchecked, once the user saves the record, a message will display asking if the option should be removed from all employees with that job.

Manage Employees

Manage Employees: Demographics Tab

  • NEW! The General Info tab has been renamed Demographics.

Manage Employees: Jobs Tab

  • Include in LEAPS Reporting Flag has been added to Job Details for Alabama Charter Schools. Checking this flag will indicate that the employee and corresponding job need to be reported in the LEAPS Report if the employee’s job is active for the period the report is generated for.

Manage Employees: Dates of Service Tab

  • NEW! A Type drop-down list has replaced the Active check box to track dates of service on different systems.
    • Each type can have multiple records.
    • A start date can be entered without an end date.
    • Overlapping date ranges are not allowed for the same service type.

Setup: Service Types Tab

  • NEW! The Service Types tab allows users to define types of dates of service.
    • Users can add and delete multiple service types, but users cannot delete service types attached to a record.
    • Users will enter the service type name and description, and determine if the service type will be used for Leave Accrual. NOTE: Only one type can be flagged for accrue leave.

Processing

Finalize Payroll

  • The service type and the dates of service specified for leave accrual in the Dates of Service tab determines the leave accrual.

Reports: Deduction Register

  • The Vendor Selection drop-down list will now populate with all available vendors regardless of the Users Site Security Access. Information generated on the report will however be populated based on the User’s Site Security.

State Specific

AL Specific: LEAPS Export

  • NEW! A LEAPS Export page has been added for users to generate LEAPS reports.
    • The report will include all employees with active jobs as of the Fiscal Year and Month selected that also are flagged for State Reporting (Include in LEAPS Report).
    • Employees with multiple active jobs flagged for State Reporting will display in the report for each job.
